The Gambia players are expecting a difficult assignment when they face Ghana in their second Group C match of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Scorpions head into Tuesday’s encounter with three points after opening their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Somalia. Ghana, meanwhile, suffered a 2-0 defeat to Côte d’Ivoire in Bouaké and will be seeking a response on home soil.
Gambia midfielder Ebou Adams is hopeful that his team can produce a positive result at the Accra Sports Stadium.
“Hopefully we can take something.”
His teammate Fadara acknowledged that the Scorpions will need to improve their display if they are to get a result against the Black Stars.
“We need to up our performance if we want anything in Accra.”
Gaye, meanwhile, recognised the challenge posed by Ghana, describing the Black Stars as a difficult opponent ahead of the Group C clash.
“Ghana are a tough team.”
The match is scheduled for Tuesday, September 29, at 4:00pm GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
With both sides looking to strengthen their position in Group C, the encounter promises to be an important early test in the race for qualification to the 2027 AFCON.
