Real Madrid have reached an agreement to sign highly rated Ghanaian centre back Oscar Naasei from Spanish side Granada, in a deal worth €2 million.
The 21-year-old defender has been identified by the Spanish giants as a promising talent for the future and is expected to initially join Spanish giants, the club’s reserve side, as he continues his development.
Naasei had attracted interest from a German club, but Real Madrid moved decisively to secure his signature and have now agreed terms with Granada.
The Ghanaian defender has already completed his medical, paving the way for the transfer to be formally completed.
Real Madrid view Naasei as a long-term project and believe his potential can be developed within the club’s highly regarded youth structure. A move to Castilla will give the centre back an opportunity to gain valuable experience while adapting to the demands and style of Spanish football.
The €2 million investment underlines Real Madrid’s belief in Naasei’s potential as the Ghanaian looks to take the next major step in his career.
