Emmanuel Ikpeme, the Nigeria Football Federation’s erstwhile Deputy General Secretary, has been endorsed to oversee the NFF Secretariat as interim General Secretary.
The development is part of fresh changes within the administration of Nigerian football, with Ikpeme expected to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the federation’s secretariat pending further decisions.
Former NFF Director of Media and Communications, Ademola Olajire, has also been appointed interim Deputy General Secretary to support the administration of the Secretariat.
Meanwhile, the NFF Elective Congress earlier scheduled for September 27 has been suspended.
The suspension further signals a significant development in the ongoing efforts to restructure the administration and governance of Nigerian football.
