The StarTimes Uganda Premier League match round two continues with the Kampala derby at the centre of attraction as Express and KCCA lock horns at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday.
Both began the season with bad results over the weekend; Express losing to BUL 1-0 while, KCCA had lost 2-0 to Lugogo rivals NEC. The defeats add more importance to the clash with either targeting to bounce back.
Express head Morley Byekwaso (Express FC) spoke to the media;
“They (KCCA) are one of the best sides when it comes to short passes but we have a plan to stop that. Against BUL, we had a good performance despite the defeat and we go again targeting maximum points against KCCA.”
KCCA head coach Brian Ssenyondo (KCCA FC) said;
“We don’t have any other option but go there and win because we lost the first game. We know what we need and shall do our best. We were disappointed last time and we want to use setbacks as a springboard to succeed this season. The setback we got last week has only informed us of what we need to do to move forward.”
Meanwhile, Moses Sseruyide is the only reported injury from the Red Eagles camp and missed last training.
For the Kasasiro, there are doubts on the fitness of Emmanuel Anyama, youngster Yian Gatbel and Gabonese Axel Mezui Elsewhere, Kataka plays their first home in the premier league when they host BUL at Bukedea Comprehensive Complex.
