Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has arrived in Nigeria ahead of the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, with the Franco-Malian tactician also stepping up his assessment of players eligible for the country’s Olympic team.
Chelle was spotted at the ongoing CAF A Coaching Course in Abuja, where he joined other football stakeholders and coaches participating in the programme.
His arrival comes as Nigeria prepares for the next phase of the AFCON qualification campaign, with attention expected to shift towards preparations for the Super Eagles’ upcoming fixtures.
Beyond his responsibilities with the senior national team, Chelle is also keeping an eye on Nigeria’s emerging talents as preparations continue for the 2028 Olympic Games football qualifiers.
The Super Eagles coach is expected to visit a league venue this week as part of his continued scouting activities.
The visit will provide another opportunity to assess promising U-23 players competing in the domestic league.
