Ghana defender Alexander Djiku played the full 90 minutes for Spartak Moscow as they secured a 1–0 victory over Fakel Voronezh in the Russian Premier League.
Djiku delivered a solid defensive performance, recording 10 recoveries and winning three duels while also registering 110 touches during the encounter. The experienced centre back also attempted two shots as Spartak held on for all three points.
The performance continues a run of consistent playing time for the Ghanaian, who has now completed three consecutive 90 minute appearances for the Moscow based club.
Djiku’s regular involvement comes at a significant time for the Black Stars, with Ghana preparing for their upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The defender is expected to be included in Carlos Queiroz’s squad for this month’s fixtures as Ghana begin their qualification campaign.
