Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo praised his side’s resilience after they secured a hard-fought victory over Sunderland.
Semenyo admitted the game was a difficult contest, with Sunderland making things challenging for City throughout the encounter.
“If you’re winning at the end, you definitely enjoy games like that. A tough battle, they made it difficult,” Semenyo said.
The Ghanaian forward credited City’s collective effort for seeing out the result, noting that Sunderland had proved difficult opposition for every team they had faced.
“We held on together as a team. They’ve made it tough against every team they’ve faced so far,” he added.
Semenyo was ultimately pleased with the outcome, as City held firm to secure all three points from a demanding encounter.
“We’re just happy with the three points,” he concluded.
