Yacine Idriss Diallo has begun his second term as president of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) after his re-election on September 12. The FIF president visited Sports Minister Adjé Silas Metch on Monday, September 21, during a courtesy meeting focused on cooperation between the federation and the ministry.
Diallo used the meeting to thank the minister for his support of the FIF and its projects. Adama Dosso, Minister Delegate for African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, also attended the meeting and welcomed the initiative. Metch, for his part, congratulated Diallo and described his new mandate as a reflection of “a vision and a new dynamic.”
“I am delighted to welcome you following your brilliant election. This re-election reflects a vision and a new dynamic. Ivory Coast can only shine through this re-election, driven by your competence,” he declared.
Diallo secured 123 votes out of 149 during the September 12 election in Yamoussoukro. He now begins another four-year term at the head of Ivorian football. The meeting with the Sports Ministry also signals the continuation of cooperation between the two institutions as the new mandate gets underway.
