The SLFA has signed an agreement with Albert Academy and Bo School for the implementation of the FIFA Arena Project at the two schools.
The signing ceremony was held at the SLFA Secretariat in Kingtom, Freetown, as part of efforts to improve football infrastructure and strengthen the development of school football in Sierra Leone. Speaking at the ceremony, SLFA President Babadi Kamara said the project is being implemented as a pilot phase, with other schools expected to benefit from similar facilities in the future.
He explained that the project requires local counterpart support, with FIFA responsible for the provision of materials and technical expertise and Sierra Leone responsible for the construction of the sub-base.
He explained that the project is being implemented under a counter-funding arrangement, with FIFA providing the materials and technical expertise. The SLFA boss added that the signing of the agreement with the schools is a requirement for the release of the project materials.
