Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies will renew their long-standing rivalry when they meet in the 2026 Women’s Champion of Champions on Friday, October 16, at the Otumfuo AstroTurf at Dichemso in Kumasi.
The fixture, organised by the Ghana Football Association, will serve as the curtain-raiser for the 2026/27 women’s football season, bringing together the winners of last season’s Women’s Premier League and Women’s FA Cup.
Ampem Darkoa secured their place after winning the 2025/26 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title, sealing the championship with a 2-1 victory over Hasaacas Ladies in the final league encounter. Hasaacas, meanwhile, earned their spot after lifting the Women’s FA Cup.
The meeting adds another chapter to a rivalry that has been a defining feature of Ghanaian women’s football over the years, with both clubs competing for major domestic and regional honours. The Champion of Champions clash will also give the two sides an early opportunity to assess their squads, integrate new players and set the tone for the 2026/27 campaign.
