Arsenal have rewarded Mikel Arteta for his work since taking charge in December 2019 by extending his contract until 2030. The Spanish manager has overseen the club’s return to the top of English football, culminating in a league title last season and a run to the Champions League final.
Arteta originally had a deal that ran until the end of the 2026/27 season, but Arsenal’s leadership chose to extend their commitment after the club’s recent success.
At 44, the coach has built a competitive squad and guided Arsenal to their first league title in 22 years, becoming the seventh manager in the club’s history to win the championship.
“Last season’s success marks the beginning of an exceptional period in our history,” Arsenal said in their announcement. The club now wants Arteta to build on that momentum, challenge for the biggest trophies and strengthen the connection between the team and its supporters while maintaining a sustainable long-term project.
