Samuel Eto’o and Rigobert Song have rallied Cameroon’s U23 Indomitable Lions ahead of their crucial trip to Kigali. Just days before the 2027 U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the FECAFOOT president and former national team coach visited Guy Armand Feutchine’s squad to offer their support and encourage the young players.
During his address, Samuel Eto’o urged the players to approach the encounter with confidence and determination. He also reminded them of the responsibility that comes with representing Cameroon.
Meanwhile, the FECAFOOT president met with the technical staff and promised to address their concerns to ensure the team enjoys the best possible conditions ahead of the match.
However, Eto’o’s strongest message went directly to the players. “We respect Rwanda, but we must beat them,” he declared, underlining Cameroon’s determination to secure a positive result. Alongside Rigobert Song, the federation chief hopes to give the young Lions an extra motivational boost. Now, Guy Armand Feutchine and his players must turn that encouragement into a strong performance on Rwandan soil.
