Zambia crowned 4-Nations champions after Zimbabwe win

Zambia were crowned champions of the Four Nations Tournament in Ndola after battering the Mighty Warriors of Zimbabwe 3-0 in the final. A Prisca Chilufya brace and a goal from Rachael Kundananji sealed victory for Zambia while WAFCON Kenya thumped Lesotho 6-0 in the third and fourth off to win bronze.

The Four Nations Tournament was held as a final home preparatory tournament for the Copper Queens before heading to the pre-WAFCON camp in North Africa.

Zambia also played Kenya whom the beat 4-1 on post match penalties after a 1-1 regulation time draw with Zimbabwe beat Lesotho 3-1 to book a place in the final.

Kenyan skipper Mwanalima Adam was named Player of the Tournament while Chilufya won the Golden Boot with three goals. The Golden Glove went to Hazel Nali while Lesotho walked away with the Fair Play award.
