Morocco secured a great victory (1-1, 3-2 on penalty kicks) against the Netherlands on Tuesday in the World Cup Round of 16 and booked its spot in the tournament’s Round of 16.
After being eliminated by the African team, Ronald Koeman, the Netherlands head coach, said his team had nothing to blame themselves for.
“I have fond memories of it. As for the rest, I don’t really want to talk about it. We have nothing to blame ourselves for, as the boys exhaustion clearly shows. We had a dream.”
Just as in the previous tournament, Morocco’s Atlas Lions are showing their mettle, and Africans are hoping to see them go far in the competition.
