2026 FIFA WORLD CUP: Colombia and Ghana confirmed lineup

Colombia and Ghana have named their starting lineups ahead of their crucial Round of 32 encounter, with both nations eyeing a place in the next stage of the competition.

Colombia head into the knockout fixture in an attacking 4-3-3 formation. Goalkeeper Camilo Vargas starts between the posts behind a back four of Daniel Muñoz, Dávinson Sánchez, Jhon Lucumí and Johan Mojica. In midfield, Jhon Arias, Jefferson Lerma and Gustavo Puerta are tasked with controlling possession and supplying the attack.

Captain James Rodríguez leads the creative force from the left side of the front three, with Luis Díaz providing pace and flair on the opposite flank, while Jhon Córdoba spearheads the Colombian attack.

Ghana, meanwhile, line up in a disciplined 4-5-1 system as they look to frustrate the South Americans while remaining dangerous on the counterattack. Lawrence Ati-Zigi retains his place in goal, protected by a defence of Gideon Mensah, Jeremy Opoku, Derrick Luckassen and Michael Senaya.

The midfield features Kwasi Sibo, Thomas Partey and Caleb Yirenkyi, with Antoine Semenyo and Iñaki Williams operating from the wings to support captain Jordan Ayew, who leads the line as the lone striker.

With a place in the Round of 16 at stake, both coaches have opted for experienced cores while relying on the quality of their attacking stars to make the difference in what promises to be an intense knockout battle.
