Bamba Dieng set to join Red Star Belgrade after Lazio exit

Bamba Dieng is now heading towards a move to Red Star Belgrade after the collapse of his transfer to Lazio. According to our information, the Senegalese striker will travel to Belgrade in the coming hours and attend tonight’s Europa League playoff between Red Star and Viktoria Plzeň. The Serbian club now appears ready to complete the deal for the former Lorient and Marseille forward.

Dieng should undergo his medical examination on Friday before signing his contract with the Serbian champions. The operation still requires the final formalities, but everything currently points towards a move to Belgrade. The Senegal international had come very close to joining Lazio in recent days, but the Italian club ended negotiations after the striker’s medical examination raised concerns.

After this latest twist, Dieng now has the opportunity to relaunch his career in Serbia. Red Star have moved quickly to take advantage of the situation and could soon welcome the 26-year-old striker into their squad. Unless another late development changes the situation, Dieng should become a new Red Star player in the coming hours.
