Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz has made nine additions to the Black Stars squad following medical updates ahead of the team’s upcoming international fixtures.
The latest additions strengthen the squad across defence, midfield and attack as Ghana prepares for a busy international window featuring 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia, as well as an international friendly against Morocco.
The defensive reinforcements are Jonas Adjetey of VfL Wolfsburg, Alidu Seidu of OGC Nice, Ebenezer Annan of Rapid București and Rockson Yeboah of Osasuna.
In midfield, Rahim Ibrahim of Slovan Bratislava has been added to the squad.
The four attacking additions are Brandon Thomas-Asante of Coventry City, Mohammed Fuseini of Derby County, Benjamin Tetteh of Kalba and Felix Afena-Gyan of Iğdır FK.
The additions come after medical assessments affected the composition of Queiroz’s original squad, with the technical team moving to bolster the group ahead of the crucial fixtures.
Ghana will face Côte d’Ivoire on September 24, 2026, before taking on The Gambia on September 29 in the AFCON qualifiers. The Black Stars will then meet Morocco on October 4 in an international friendly.
The expanded squad now gives Queiroz additional options as Ghana continues preparations for the upcoming qualifying campaign.
