Senegalese right-back Noah Fadiga delivered a match-winning performance as Aris Thessaloniki secured a 2–0 triumph over Anagennisi Karditsas in the preliminary final of the Greek Cup.
After an evenly contested first 45 minutes where neither side could break through, Fadiga provided the crucial spark shortly after the restart. In the 49th minute, the 26-year-old international pushed forward along the right flank and finished with composure to give Aris a 1–0 lead.
His opening strike shifted momentum decisively in favor of the visitors. The pressure culminated in a second goal in the 66th minute, when an own goal by Anagennisi Karditsas defender Panagiotis Anastasopoulos doubled Aris’ advantage and effectively sealed their victory.
Fadiga’s goal is another triumphant chapter in his remarkable journey of perseverance. Son of legendary former Senegal international Khalilou Fadiga, Noah has overcome significant cardiac health challenges—including having a mini defibrillator installed in late 2024—to continue excelling at the highest level of European football.
Since joining Aris Thessaloniki in the summer of 2025, Fadiga has established himself as a mainstay along their defensive flank, blending athletic dynamism with relentless work ethic.
