Issa Diop will leave Fulham for Ipswich Town after reaching an agreement with the newly promoted Premier League club. The Moroccan defender impressed during the 2026 World Cup, where he led his national team’s defense, and he now prepares for a new challenge at Portman Road. The former Toulouse centre-back has accepted a four-year contract with Ipswich.
Diop joined Fulham in August 2022 and played 96 matches during his four seasons at Craven Cottage. The 29-year-old defender, who stands at 6’4″, has also accumulated 173 Premier League appearances with West Ham and Fulham. He featured in 13 league games last season before deciding to move on.
Fulham will receive around €10 million from Ipswich Town for the transfer, despite Diop having only one year left on his London contract. The defender will soon complete his medical examination before officially beginning his new chapter with the Premier League newcomers.
