Motsepe Pledges Fairness and Credibility During Senegal Visit

President of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring trust and integrity in African football during his recent visit to Senegal.

Speaking amid engagements with key football stakeholders, Dr. Motsepe emphasized that rebuilding the credibility of the game across the continent remains a central priority for CAF. He noted that African football must reflect the expectations of its people, who continue to place their trust in the governing body.

“We are committed to restoring the full credibility of African football, in respect of the African people who trust us,” Motsepe said, underlining a broader reform agenda aimed at strengthening governance and transparency.

The CAF President further stressed the importance of unity and equity among member associations, pledging that all nations under CAF’s jurisdiction would be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect regardless of size or influence.

His visit to Senegal forms part of a wider diplomatic and administrative tour across the continent, as CAF leadership seeks to consolidate relationships, address concerns, and reinforce confidence in the direction of African football governance.
