Kenya women’s national team Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba has named a 24-player provisional squad for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament set to be held in Zambia in June 2026.

‎The squad largely retains the core of players who featured during the recent FIFA Series – Women in Nairobi, with Emily Morang’a and Vivian Shiyonzo returning to the national team set-up.

‎Camp will begin on Friday, May 29, 2026, before the team departs for Zambia on June 3, 2026.

‎Tournament Fixtures

‎Harambee Starlets will open their campaign against Zimbabwe on June 6, before facing hosts Zambia on June 9, 2026.

‎‎The tournament will provide the technical bench with another opportunity to assess the squad against competitive opposition as preparations continue for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

‎Building Towards WAFCON 2026

‎The Zambia Four Nations Tournament forms part of Harambee Starlets’ preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

‎‎Kenya will be making their second appearance at the continental tournament, ten years after their debut at the 2016 edition.

‎‎The friendlies are expected to play an important role in helping the team build cohesion, improve competitiveness and continue preparations ahead of the tournament.

‎Odemba on Team Objectives

‎Odemba said the tournament will provide the team with another important test as Harambee Starlets continue working towards their targets at WAFCON 2026.

‎‎“These matches will give us another opportunity to continue building the team and exposing the players to competitive international football ahead of WAFCON.

‎ “Our objective is to arrive at the tournament ready to compete at the highest level. We want to challenge ourselves, target a place in the semi-finals and put ourselves in contention for World Cup qualification.”
