Semenyo Sends Message of Hope After Ghana’s World Cup Exit

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his disappointment while urging belief in the future following the Black Stars’ elimination from the FIFA World Cup at the Round of 32 stage.

In an emotional message shared after the defeat to Colombia, Semenyo admitted the result had been difficult to process, reflecting the ambitions within the squad heading into the tournament.

“Words can’t describe how I feel. The team wanted more, and I wanted more,” he said, capturing the sense of frustration after a campaign that ended earlier than expected.

Despite the setback, the striker took time to acknowledge the unwavering support from Ghanaian fans, many of whom traveled across the United States to back the team throughout the competition.

“To all Ghanaians, thank you for your incredible support and for traveling across America to cheer us on,” he added.

Semenyo, however, struck a tone of resilience, framing the defeat as part of a larger journey rather than a defining failure.

“This isn’t a loss, it’s a lesson learned. We’ll be back stronger. Believe that.”

His remarks echo a broader sentiment within the squad, as the Black Stars begin to reflect on the campaign and shift focus toward rebuilding, with renewed determination to return stronger on the global stage.
