Senegal Seal Commanding 3-1 Victory Over Gambia in Lively Friendly

Senegal produced a clinical and composed performance to defeat Gambia 3-1 in an entertaining international friendly marked by decisive moments at key stages of the game.

The Teranga Lions took the lead just before halftime when Abdoulaye Seck struck in stoppage time (45+2), giving Senegal a deserved advantage after a competitive opening period.

Momentum remained firmly with Senegal after the break, as Ibrahim Mbaye doubled the lead in the 47th minute, finishing off a swift attacking move to put Gambia on the back foot.

Gambia, however, showed resilience and responded in the 51st minute through Omar Colley, whose goal reduced the deficit and briefly reignited hopes of a comeback.

Despite Gambia’s efforts to push forward, Senegal maintained control and managed the tempo effectively as the game progressed. Their persistence paid off deep into stoppage time when Lamine Camara sealed the victory with a late strike in the 90+5 minute, putting the result beyond doubt.

The win underlined Senegal’s attacking efficiency and game management, while Gambia demonstrated flashes of promise but ultimately fell short against a more clinical opponent.
