Transfer: Sevilla FC gives up on Amine Gouiri

FC Sevilla was taken aback by the financial terms set by Olympique de Marseille in exchange for the transfer of its Algerian international forward, Amine Gouiri.

The Andalusian club recently inquired about Amine Gouiri’s situation, as confirmed by French journalist Santi Ona in a tweet on the X platform, expressing its desire to explore the possibility of signing the Algerian international forward.

The asking price forced Sevilla to abandon the idea of entering into advanced negotiations with the player after learning that the French club’s management was demanding 30 million euros to let its forward go.

The Algerian national team forward is under contract through 2029 with the club based in the capital of southern France.

Gouiri had an impressive season last year, appearing in 22 games, scoring 8 goals, and recording 3 assists, which made him a target for many clubs, particularly Italian ones, such as Como, Napoli, and Milan.
