Ibrahim Owen Kasule is back in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after completing a move to KCCA on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Cityzens from Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls, having spent the past three seasons in the United States. Kasule made his mark with New York Red Bulls II in MLS Next Pro, scoring 28 goals in 64 appearances and earning promotion to the senior side.
He was named Player of the Month in July 2023 and selected in the 2023 MLS Next Pro Best XI. He also made his senior MLS debut against New England Revolution and had a loan spell with Connecticut United earlier this year.
Kasule previously played three seasons for Wakiso Giants, enjoying a breakout 2022/23 UPL campaign in which he scored five goals and provided six assists in 14 appearances.
He also had a brief spell with Turkish side Ankara Keçiörengücü. The versatile midfielder, who can operate centrally, in an attacking role or from wide areas, earned his first Uganda Cranes call-up in September 2023.
He joins KCCA as the club prepares for the new season.
