Ghana’s Black Queens have announced a strong starting lineup for their encounter with Malawi at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Captain Portia Boakye leads the Ghanaian side, with Cynthia Konlan in goalpost.

Ghana’s lineup is: goalkeeper C. Konlan, with S. Duah, G. Asantewaa, Cudjoe, and Yeboah forming the defensive unit.

In midfield, Boaduwaa and A. Kusi will feature alongside Evelyn Badu, while Boye-Hlorkah and captain Portia Boakye complete the attacking setup. Bonsu is also named in the starting XI.

Ghana will look to establish control from the opening whistle and build on the quality and experience within their squad as they seek a positive result against Malawi.

Malawi, meanwhile, have also unveiled a competitive starting XI, with M. Sikelo in goal. Madise, Kadzere, A. Simwaka and Temwa form part of the defensive setup.

Captain Chawinga will lead the Malawian attack, supported by Chimzimu, Khumalo, R. Alufandika, B. Mkandawire and C. Gondwe.

With both sides fielding experienced players, the encounter promises to be a closely contested WAFCON fixture as Ghana and Malawi battle for supremacy.
