Zambia FA boss celebrates Power Dynamos success

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President Keith Mweemba has congratulated Power Dynamos Football Club on successfully defending the 2025/2026 FAZ MTN Super League title.

In a congratulatory message to Power Dynamos Chief Executive Officer Gibson Chaloba, Mweemba described the achievement as a reflection of the club’s consistency, professionalism and determination both on and off the pitch.

Mweemba commended the Kitwe side for maintaining high standards in a competitive football environment, adding that winning back-to-back league titles was evidence of strong leadership, technical quality and player commitment.

“Successfully defending the league title in such a competitive environment speaks volumes about the quality of leadership, technical expertise, player dedication and the strong support structures within your institution,” said Mweemba.

Mweemba also praised Power Dynamos for their performance in last season’s CAF Champions League campaign, where the club reached the group stage, describing the achievement as a source of pride for Zambian football.

He said the club had demonstrated that Zambian teams are capable of competing at the highest level of African club football and encouraged the team to aim even higher as they prepare to represent the country in the CAF Champions League for the second successive season.

“The nation believes in your potential to fly the Zambian flag high and continue showcasing the immense talent within our domestic game,” Mweemba said.

Mweemba further assured Power Dynamos of FAZ’s continued support ahead of another continental campaign.

“FAZ remains committed to supporting all Zambian clubs representing the country in continental competitions as we work together to raise the standard and profile of Zambian football across Africa and beyond,” he said.

The FAZ President also congratulated ZESCO Ndola Girls for successfully defending the ZPL Women’s Super League title. He urged the team to focus on preparations for the COSAFA Region CAF Women Champions League Qualifier.

And Mweemba has hailed Red Arrows Football Club for winning the 2026 ABSA Cup, a victory that secured qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup. Mweemba said the victory reflected the hard work, excellence and competitive spirit that Red Arrows have demonstrated throughout the season.

Meanwhile, Mweemba congratulated Makeni All Stars for winning the National League and securing promotion to the FAZ MTN Super League.

He urged the newly promoted side to remain focused and continue working hard as they prepare for life in top-flight football. Mweemba further extended congratulations to all provincial league champions across the country for their achievements during the season.
