Senegal midfielder Papy Mendy has said he was determined to continue grabbing playing opportunities with both hands at Leicester City.
Mendy spoke to Leicester website after helping the Foxes hold Manchester United 1-1 in a Premier League match on Saturday.
“For me, I just want to enjoy,” he is quoted saying. “When I have an opportunity to be on the pitch, I just do my best, enjoy and try to help the team to get a result. It’s as simple as that.”
Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho’s header earned a point at Old Trafford where Fred scored the equalizer for the hosts.
Mendy felt the former Premier League champions deserved maximum points from the game.
“This evening, we played well, but it’s frustrating because we started well and we had so many chances and at the end it’s 1-1,” he added. “We have to keep the positives for the next game, and we’re ready.”
Mendy has now started Leicester’s last three Premier League matches in addition to playing an active role when Senegal won the Africa Cup of Nations and qualified for the World Cup finals.
