Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new record which is a huge affront for Lionel Messi, his best rival and the news get fans talking on social media as the Ronaldo vs Messi debate is fuelled.

In just few hours, Ronaldo went on gaining millions of subscribers and even surpassed three times those of Leo Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo has 8,19 millions followers in just 8 hours while Messi’s channel only has 2,2 followers in 18 years as he created his own in 2006.

The marketing difference got fans talking and many believe Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the most influencing athlete ever as he is the quickest newcomer to reach such a number of subscribers in a so short time.

However, it is worth mentioning that Lionel Messi has not uploaded a new video on his channel since 2018.
