The Football Kenya Federation has restructured the referees appointments committee for the National Super League in a bid to improve transparency and streamline operations.
This shake-up comes in the wake of a recent meeting between FKF president Hussein Mohammed and representatives from NSL clubs, where issues were raised about officiating lists being leaked prematurely—sometimes reaching clubs before the referees were officially notified.
Additionally, there were reports from some referees of attempts by clubs to influence match officials. As part of the revamp, former referees Wilfred Marori and Cecilia Gitau have been replaced by ex-FIFA officials John Ngururi and Sylvester Musonye.
