Salah’s Liverpool extension doesn't end Saudi interest

Despite Mohamed Salah’s recent contract renewal with Liverpool, Saudi Arabia remains firmly interested in the Egyptian superstar.

Speaking ahead of the Saudi F1 Grand Prix, Sports Minister Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal reaffirmed that Salah continues to be a key figure who aligns with the vision of the Saudi Pro League. “He’s a superstar. An iconic Arab Muslim. He perfectly fits the identity of the Saudi championship,” said the minister, adding that although Salah chose to stay at Liverpool, the connection with Saudi Arabia is far from broken.

While media speculation often links high-profile players to Saudi clubs, the minister insisted that most of these rumors are unfounded. “We don’t just sign any player. We have a clear strategy,” he stated.

Salah’s stats this season speak for themselves: 32 goals and 23 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions. With Liverpool closing in on the Premier League title, the 31-year-old forward continues to shine — and remains a top priority for the Saudi football revolution.
