Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have welcomed Portipher Odhiambo to the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The defender arrives on a two-year deal with considerable top-flight experience, having spent the past several seasons with Kakamega Homeboyz after making his breakthrough with Vihiga Bullets.
Odhiambo first made a major impression during the 2020-21 National Super League season, playing a key role as Vihiga Bullets finished second and secured promotion to the FKF Premier League for the first time in the club’s history. His outstanding campaign earned him both the NSL Most Valuable Player and Defender of the Year awards.
He subsequently joined Kakamega Homeboyz and made the step up to top-flight football, continuing his development as a defender. His journey has included overcoming a knee injury early in his Homeboyz career before establishing himself in the squad, finishing last season as one of the top-scoring defenders with five goals.
