Villarreal have started planning for a possible departure of Georges Mikautadze as the transfer window approaches its final days. The Georgian striker’s release clause has reportedly risen to €75 million, prompting the Spanish club to explore potential replacements.

The Algerian international enjoyed a mixed first full season with Marseille, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 28 appearances across all competitions. Gouiri also came through the Lyon academy alongside players from Mikautadze’s generation and remains highly rated in Spain.
