Mighty Jets secured a narrow 1–0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors in their NPFL Super 6 Preseason Invitational Tournament encounter on Wednesday.
The closely contested fixture saw both sides battle for control, with neither team able to break the deadlock during the opening 45 minutes.
Mighty Jets eventually found the breakthrough in the 56th minute when Usman Meyanga converted his opportunity to put his side 1–0 ahead.
El-Kanemi Warriors responded by pushing forward in search of an equaliser, but the Mighty Jets defence remained resolute and successfully protected their advantage until the final whistle.
The result gives Mighty Jets an important victory as the teams continue their preparations ahead of the new NPFL season.
The NPFL Super 6 Preseason Invitational Tournament is serving as a key platform for participating clubs to assess their squads, test new combinations and build match fitness before the 2026/27 league campaign.
