Paul Reverson Joins De Graafschap on Season Long Loan from Ajax

Ghanaian goalkeeper Paul Reverson has completed a move to Dutch side De Graafschap on loan from Ajax for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.

Ajax confirmed that an agreement has been reached between the club, Reverson and De Graafschap, with the goalkeeper joining the Gelderland based club with immediate effect. The deal also includes an option for De Graafschap to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan spell.

The 21 year old shot stopper has been part of Ajax’s development system and spent the past two seasons with Jong Ajax in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. He has made 30 appearances for the reserve side, gaining valuable experience in senior football.

Reverson will also be returning to familiar surroundings at De Vijverberg, having previously played at the stadium with Jong Ajax. That experience could help him settle quickly as he begins an important new chapter in his development.

The Ghana youth international remains under contract with Ajax until June 30, 2027, meaning the loan move could provide him with regular first team football while keeping his long term future in Amsterdam open.

De Graafschap believe Reverson’s qualities with the ball at his feet and his reflexes make him a good fit for the club’s playing style. The goalkeeper will now look to establish himself as an important figure between the posts and make the most of the opportunity.

For Reverson, the move represents another significant step in his progression as he seeks to turn his experience with Jong Ajax into regular senior football.
