Africa Soccer AWCON 2022: Uganda 1 v Morocco 1: HALF-TIME

Uganda’s Crested Cranes have showed great spirit, recovering from an early setback to level matters 1-1 against Morocco at half-time of the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations (AWCON).

Rosella Ayanne put the Moroccans ahead 14 minutes into the Group A match at Rabat’s Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.

Uganda had the chances but they could not put them away until in the 32nd minute when Sumaya Komuntale levelled matters.

Uganda started the competition with a 2-0 loss to Senegal in the group’s opener.

Overall, the half-time result so far favours Morocco who started the race with a win over Burkina Faso.

In the other group A game, Burkina Faso will face Senegal at the same venue.
