Midfielder Ngonde joins KCCA on three-year deal

KCCA have signed midfielder Elvis Ngonde from SC Villa on a three-year contract.

The left-footed central midfielder joins the Lugogo-based club after three seasons at SC Villa, where he was part of the side that won the 2023–24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League title.

Ngonde previously featured for Busoga United and Gaddafi before moving to Villa in 2023.

He has also represented the Uganda Cranes, including involvement with the national team’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) squads. KCCA head coach Brian Ssenyondo welcomed the midfielder, highlighting the qualities he is expected to add to the team.

“Ngonde has exceptional vision, breaks up opposition play, and seamlessly transitions defence into attack. His arrival at Lugogo adds more competition and technical quality to the team,” Ssenyondo said.

Speaking after completing the move, Ngonde said he was looking forward to the new challenge.

“Joining KCCA FC is a huge step forward in my career, and it is an honour to be here. This is a club with a rich history, an incredible fanbase, and a philosophy that matches my ambitions,” he said.

“I know what it takes to win in this league, and I am coming to Lugogo to give 100%. I am ready to work with the technical team, fight for the badge with my new teammates, and bring joy to the fans.”

Primarily a central midfielder, Ngonde is also capable of operating in defensive positions, offering KCCA additional tactical options ahead of the 2026–27 Uganda Premier League season.
