Brian Ssenyondo named KCCA FC coach ahead of new season

KCCA FC has officially named Brian Ssenyondo as the Head Coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Ssenyondo takes full charge of the technical wheel. To ensure a cohesive system, the club has surrounded him with top-tier tacticians.

Ssenyondo will be directly supported by Jackson Magera Kaddu as the 1st Assistant Coach and Simeon Massa as the 2nd Assistant Coach. The club has also confirmed a change within its sports science department. Felix Ayobo, who has served as the club’s fitness and conditioning coach, has left KCCA FC to pursue further professional endeavours.

The club management expresses immense gratitude for his dedication and wishes him the absolute best in his next chapter. Accordingly, KCCA FC has appointed Ram Nyakana Mpuuga as the new strength and conditioning coach.

Nyakana arrives at Lugogo with a wealth of experience. He has previously built a track record of managing the physical conditioning of athletes at the Uganda Cranes National Team, SC Villa, Vipers SC, and others.

Academically, Nyakana stands out as a modern, data-driven fitness practitioner. He holds qualifications in sports science and also in conditioning coaching and sports management at the University of Leipzig, Germany, complementing his vast hands on pitch experience with an understanding of modern exercise physiology, rehabilitation, and athletic load management. His arrival provides a major boost to the squad.

The Cityzens kicked off their pre-season on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, ahead of the 2026/27 season.
