KAA Gent has announced the extension of Abdoul Ayinde’s contract through 2028, with an option for an additional season.
L’Etalon joined the club three years ago from Rahimo FC.
The 21-year-old left back arrived from Rahimo FC (Burkina Faso) in the summer of 2023 and joined the reserve team, Jong KAA Gent.
During the 2024–2025 season, Ayinde missed only one league match and contributed to the First National title and promotion to the Challenger Pro League.
The Burkinabe international also got his chance with the first team. On February 11, 2024, he made his official debut as a substitute against Cercle Brugge.
In early 2026, Ayinde was promoted to the first team, while continuing to play matches with Jong KAA Gent.
