Lesotho FA elects leadership team for 2026-2030 cycle

In a decisive gathering that set Liberia’s football course for the next four years, the Liberia Football Association (LFA) elected its leadership slate for a new four-year cycle.

Mustapha I. Raji was re-elected unopposed as President, securing a third four-year term, while a 12-member executive committee was elected to guide the federation through 2026–2030. The decisions were confirmed at the LFA Ordinary Congress held at the LFA Headquarters in Congo Town on Friday, 15 May.

The election of the leadership marks a renewed mandate to advance infrastructure, governance, and grassroots development, building on the progress of Raji’s second term.

The new executive committee, voted by 49 delegates representing clubs, is charged with steering Liberia’s football trajectory toward greater transparency, competitive excellence across all areas of football development.

“I would like to congratulate each and every one of us, and special thanks to the Presidents of FIFA and CAF for their continued support of the development of football in Liberia and for helping to make football truly global.”

“As we depart from here today, let us not sit on the fence. We have a lot to do and there are many opportunities at the Liberia Football Association for all of us. Although we are many, we will strive to incorporate as much as we can because the success of our football depends on each and every one of us,” Raji said.

Jodie Seaton was re-elected to continue serving as Women’s Representative on the Executive Committee, while the EC members—Pawala Janyan, Tickly Monkoney, Hilary Sackie, Sekou Konneh, Adolphus Dolo, and Anthony Deinuka—also retained their roles.

New members joining the committee include Amos Tweh, Momo Cyrus, Chris Weah, Elvis Sirleaf, and Pokah Robert.

The Congress was graced by distinguished guests, including a member of the FIFA Council, Mr. Hamidou Djibrilla, FIFA Team Lead, MA Governance Services, Ahmed Harraz, Nadim Magdy Maurice Kamel, a representative from CAF, and several football legends.

Notably, this was the first election conducted at the Liberia Football Association’s own headquarters, marking a historic milestone in the association’s journey.
