Transfers DONE DEAL: Yanga SC confirm signing of ex-Simba SC star Clatous Chama

Young Africans (Yanga SC) have raided their rivals Simba SC for the services of midfielder Clatous Chama.

The Tanzanian Premier League champions announced the arrival of the Zambia midfielder on their social media pages on Monday. “Clatous Chama is a Yanga player,” read a statement on Yanga’s official social media pages, adding: “Welcome to Yanga.”

Earlier last week, Simba revealed the future of Chama, remained undecided, and the final decision on whether his contract will be extended lies with the club’s top leadership.

“All I can say is that Clatous Chama’s contract with Simba SC has just ended, and until now, I have not been informed by my department to update the fans about his fate,” said Simba media officer Ahmed Ahly. “The matter is currently being handled by our top leadership. Once they reach a decision, they will provide me with the information to communicate to the fans.”

“I urge the fans to remain calm. Any decision our leaders make regarding Chama will be the right one for the club’s interest, and every fan should understand that,” Ally added.

Chama’s contract with Simba officially expired, on June 30.
