Victor Boniface, a forward with Bayer Leverkusen and the Super Eagles of Nigeria, has won the German Rookie Player of the Year award.
After a fruitful time with Union St Gillaloise of the Belgian Jupiler League, the Nigerian international joined the German team in the summer.
With a double-digit goal and a league title to his credit, he has had a memorable season for Leverkusen.

Before an injury sidelined him, Boniface won Rookie of the Month for the first four months of the season.
However, he returned to the team with a bang to aid the team.
Rookie Player of the Year was to the lanky forward, who outwitted two other players and Xavi Simon.
