Nigeria Super Eagles Hold First Training Session As 15 Already In Camp

Super Eagles camp came alive on Sunday in Uyo as 15 players have already arrived in camp ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Super Eagles Head Coach Finidi Goerge held his first training session this morning inside the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

Players already in camp are; Ndidi Wilfred, Kelechi Iheanacho, Chukwueze Samuel, Fisayo Bashiru, Terem Moffi, Nwabali Stanley, Sodiq Ismail, Kenneth Igbokwe, Ojo Olorunleke, Benjamin Tanimu, Ibrahim Olawoyin, Boniface Victor, Raphael Onyedika, Chidozie Awaziem and Alhassan Yusuf.

The Super Eagles will play against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the Matchday 3 of the qualifiers on Friday, June 7, 2024.

The team will then travel to L Abidjan to face the Cheetahs of Benin Republic Squirrels three days later.

Nigeria is third in Group C after draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, will be looking to clinch Nigeria’s first qualification win.
