Chelsea Maresca To Face Pep In first League Game As Chelsea Manager

Enzo Maresca’s first Premier League game as Chelsea’s head coach will be against previous club Manchester City.

Maresca, who previously worked as a coach for City under Pep Guardiola, succeeded Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea this summer and will face his former club at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 18, at 4.30pm.

The 44-year-old Italian was taken from Leicester after leading them back to the Premier League, and he will return to the King Power Stadium when Chelsea visits on Saturday, November 23.

The Blues face a difficult spell in October and November, when they play Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United, and Arsenal in succession, while their first meeting with Tottenham is on Saturday, December 7, and they visit Fulham on Boxing Day.

Chelsea also faces a challenging May, with games against Liverpool, Newcastle, and Manchester United before heading to Nottingham Forest on the last day of the season on Sunday, May 25.
