Carlos Queiroz has unveiled a 28-man squad for Ghana’s World Cup preparation camp in Cardiff and the upcoming international friendly against Wales as the Black Stars intensify preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The squad, which will camp in Cardiff from May 25 to June 2, reflects a balanced selection across all departments, with five goalkeepers, nine defenders, seven midfielders and seven forwards included for the next phase of preparations.
Among the goalkeepers selected are Benjamin Asare and Solomon Agbasi of Accra Hearts of Oak, alongside Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Joseph Anang and Paul Reverson.
The defensive unit features the return of experienced left-back Baba Rahman, while defenders such as Alidu Seidu, Abdul Mumin and Jerome Opoku also make the squad.
In midfield, deputy captain Thomas Partey headlines the selections alongside Augustine Boakye, Kwasi Sibo and Caleb Yirenkyi.
The attacking department includes several familiar names, with Captain Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Ernest Nuamah and Antoine Semenyo all earning call-ups. Young talents such as Prince Kwabena Adu and Christopher Bonsu Baah have also been handed opportunities to impress.
The Black Stars are expected to use the camp and the Wales friendly as part of the final assessment process before Queiroz trims the squad to 26 players for the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
