Uncategorised Ghana vs Sudan: We have to win, put one foot in the next AFCON – Ayew

Andre Ayew

Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew sent a message to his teammates ahead of Ghana vs Sudan clash on Thursday (4pm) as Swansea City star said there is no reason to lose this game.

After losing to Mali (3-0) and winning to Qatar (5-1) with a brace of Andre Ayew in October friendlies, Ghana will play their first game of November and it has a different importance from their last encounters.

Speaking to Ghana FA’s website, the 30-year-old striker said they are compelled to win knowing they will play at home though he recognized the team spirit of Sudan.

No matter what happens, Black Stars must win to get one step into the next Africa Cup Of Nations, said the captain.

“We are at home and when we are at home, there is only one thing on our mind and that is to get the three points so we are going to do everything possible to make that happen.” Ayew said.

“I believe that the players have one goal and if we are on 100%, there is no reason why we will not get the three points and we will make sure that Ghanaians are proud and put one foot in the next AFCON tournament.

“Sudan is a team that I have faced before, I think we drew here in a very difficult game Kumasi so I know what Sudan is capable of doing. But we are Ghana.

“And when you wear the Ghana jersey, you have to deliver, especially at home, so we have a choice.

“We are going to make sure that we get the three points so that, that Unity and that love between us stays and get even better with time.

“That is why we want more games, more camping so that we are able to meet each other more and more and create that love between each other.” he added.
