Pitso Mosimane Kante Dieng

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane lauded Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante for his humility after the latter asked to meet Aliou Dieng following Chelsea’s triumph in Club World Cup on Saturday.

The Egyptian Premier League side beat Al-Hilal 4-0 to win Bronze medal for the second time in a row in the competition.

And before receiving the medals, Al Ahly coach Mosimane was amazed to be approached by Chelsea star and World champion Kante who asked to meet Mali international Aliou Dieng who has been impressive throughout the tournament.

“I was amazed by Kante asking me if I could get Dieng to meet him. Humility at its best. God Bless Kante”, Jingles posted on his Twitter account.

Following the win, Pitso Mosimane also commented on the third place and confessed this year’s medal is better than last season’s.

“The bronze medal means a lot to us. We didn’t improve our position from last year, but I am happy and the fans are happy. We worked and fought hard”, Mosimane said.

“It was a difficult match for the opponent after the two red cards to their players, but before they were sent off, we were strong and scored a goal when they were complete.

“The positive thing is that we played against all circumstances. We came here with a lot of absences and injuries, such as Mohamed El-Shennawy, Percy Tau, and Akram Tawfik, but we showed a great spirit.

“I am not happy despite winning the bronze medal. I wanted one of a different colour this time, but after all, we made a huge achievement to Al Ahly and Egypt.

“For me, this year’s medal is better than last season’s.”
