Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand singled out Vinicius for his outstanding performance against Reece James’ Chelsea on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu (2-0).

The Spanish gianst Champions League defending champions showed the reason why they are the ‘king’ of the competition.

And as usual in thos big games, Vinicius was once again vital for Carlo Ancelotti’s side as he was involved in both goals scored by Benzema and Asension.

Speaking on BT Sport after the game, Rio Ferdinand lavished praise on the Brazilian winger for his incredible display.

The former Man United centre-back even predicted that Vinicius will make James suffer again next week when they face off for the return leg at Stamford Bridge.

“Vinicius Junior showed no respect to Reece James tonight”, Ferdinand said.

“Whenever Vini had the ball, he went straight at James.

“He will do the same at the Stamford Bridge. He and Rodrygo play wide and high.”
