Jude Bellingham was presented as a new Real Madrid earlier on Thursday and the 19-year old explained the reason why he did not join Liverpool or Manchester City.

The Skyblues who won 2022/23 UEFA Champions league were also in the race to sign the former Dortmund player.

According to reports, Pep Guardiola and Erling Haaland have constantly tried to change his mind for weeks but Bellingham made his choice.

Liverpool deliberately pulled out after knowing the player’s dream is to wear Real Madrid shirt.

“It was a bit of a surprise when my dad told me I had interest from Real Madrid. I had goosebumps”, Bellingham admitted in his first press conference.

“Money is not important to me. I’ve never thought about in my career. I didn’t choose a team for money. I wanted to come here fast because Real Madrid is the greatest.

“I’m not concerned about my transfer fee. The objective is the same: win trophies. I’m not an accountant.

“I’ll be attached to Kroos & Modrić to learn, they’ll probably be annoyed with me after a week. I can’t wait to link up with all of them”, the new Real Madrid number 5 added.
