Manchester City Manchester City Chairman, Khaldon Promises To Grow Club Influence

The chairman of Manchester City, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, has warned the team’s opponents that the triple champions’ influence will only grow after their historic season.

Pep Guardiola’s squad became just the second English club to win the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup in the same season.

It has been a fantastic time for City ever since their Abu Dhabi-based owners took over.

Khaldoon believes that the 13 teams that the club’s owners have purchased around the world will also profit from City’s sustained success, in addition to the Manchester squad.

It has been a fantastic time for City ever since their Abu Dhabi-based owners took over.

Khaldoon believes that the 13 teams that the club’s owners have purchased around the world will also profit from City’s sustained success, in addition to the Manchester squad.

“It’s always about growth. You grow, you pause, you get things in order, and then you start the next step, one step at a time.

We’re not going to stop,” Khaldoon told City’s media channels on Tuesday.

“We’re going to keep bringing happiness to every community and every club we have in the world, and hopefully we’ll keep bringing success in every club and team we have around the world.

“It’s been a great journey over the last 15 years but I’m excited about the future and it’s about now, the next 10, 15 years too.”

Seven Premier League titles have been won by City since 2012, including five in the last six years.

However, City was charged with 115 alleged violations of the Premier League’s financial fair play regulations stretching back to 2009 and accused of refusing to participate in an investigation.

Plans to increase the capacity of the Etihad Stadium to more than 60,000 have just been submitted as part of the club’s most recent infrastructure project, which is still under construction.

The extension is a part of a multi-million dollar proposal that also calls for the construction of a hotel, shops, restaurants, and a covered fan zone with seating for 3000 people.

It’s very exciting,” Khaldoon said.

Every year there’s always something new, every year, because there’s always a need to improve and evolve and grow. We don’t stand still.

“We’re always in growth mode, we’re never in contentment and pause and ‘let’s just milk the asset’.”
